Leeds Weather Alert

The Met Office have issued 2 YELLOW alerts affecting our region. Detail as follows.

– Alert Of Wind valid from 06:00 on Sunday to 18:00 on Monday (medium likelihood, low impacts). Gusts of 55-65 mph are likely. Any outdoor markets or temporary structures may be vulnerable, along with outdoor decorations, lights etc. Road conditions could also be tricky, especially for high sided vehicles, and on north-south routes like the A1 and A19.

– Alert Of Rain valid from 18:00 Sunday to 09:00 on Monday (medium likelihood, low impacts). Many Pennine areas will have a wet spell later on Sunday and into Monday, but this is a particularly sensitive area in view of current high river levels. The Flood Guidance Statement gives further details on this and is attached.
