Bus Service 967 – Update
In this week’s Pool Enews we signed off with the words ‘Proposals imminent.’
Thanks to the Wharfy, it is reported that ‘Airport bus route could be rescued’. Access to the airport is significant and Metro are proposing a revised timetable to include an hourly service to the airport. In addition, a public consultation will be held in November, in Pool.
Remembrance Day
The Remembrance Service will be held at Pool Methodist Church on Sunday 10 November at 10.00am followed by a service of Laying of the Wreaths at 10.40am at the War Memorial.
Reminder
Pool AFC Halloween Party
Thursday 31 October in the Club from 6.00p.m. There will be games and prizes for the kids. There is also a raffle, a ticket with every drink. Donations for prizes will be very welcome.
Pool AFC Bonfire and Fireworks Display
On Saturday 2 November. The Bonfire will be lit at 6.30p.m. with a superb fireworks display to follow. Food will be available throughout the evening from the changing room kitchen. Please note: sparklers and personal fireworks not allowed.

Many thanks for forwarding suggestions and comments regarding Metro’s proposals to alter bus service 967 following a reduction in funding from LBIA. Our dilemma is to find a cost neutral solution which maintains as much of the service as possible. My colleagues have been thinking “out of the box” in this regard and we have arrived at an alternative proposition. Continue reading
