Carriageway Patching – Arthington Lane, Pool – Sundays 1 and 8 September
We plan to undertake isolated carriageway patching works on A659 Arthington Lane Sunday the 1st September. The works are sporadic in nature and may span the section between Tower Drive Pool and Black Hill Road. Traffic will be controlled by manually operated “Stop & Go” boards with additional advanced warning signage to minimise traffic disruption and protect the team on site.
Hopefully, there will be an opportunity for isolated cleansing operations within the controlled areas.

The Recreation Ground Management Committee is trying hard to rid the river bank of this invasive weed and would be pleased to receive help to remove the flowering plants before they shed their seeds. No digging involved, it’s more a case of hacking or grabbing! A group dedicated to this challenge is meeting at the river bank near the steps down from the picnic area at 9.30a.m. on Tuesday 20th August to clear further ground following their efforts last week. Your help would be most welcome, the work done last year has already significantly reduced this years crop of balsam and allowed the indigenous plants to return. You may wish to wear long trousers and gloves as its a bit prickly in places. Ailsa Bearpark 07957 933 28
