1. The Level 2 Heat wave warning from the Met Office remains in force for our area.
2. There is a Level 3 warning for other areas of the UK, but for Yorkshire and Humberside the likelihood of reaching the Heat wave Threshold remains at 60%.
3. The high temperature weather is due to continue for some time to come
The Met Office have issued a Heatwave Warning of a 90% probability of heatwave conditions between 09:00 on Wednesday and 21:00 on Thursday in parts of England.
The regional assessment for Yorkshire and the Humber is currently 60%, however high temperatures are expected to continue to be high during the next few days. Precautions should be taken to protect against the high temperatures expected during this period.
